The Supercopa de Campeones Intercontinentales (English: Supercup of Intercontinental Champions) was an international football tournament contested between the previous South American winners of the Intercontinental Cup. The winner would go on to face their European counterparts in the Intercontinental Supercup. The tournament was held twice in 1968 and 1969. Santos and Peñarol won each edition, respectively.

The 1968 Supercopa de Campeones Intercontinentales (also known as the 1968 Recopa Sudamericana) was contested between November 13, 1968 and May 22, 1969 between Peñarol, Santos, and Racing, the three South American winners of the Intercontinental Cup to date. The competition was won by Santos, who would go on to face Internazionale for the Intercontinental Supercup.[1]

The 1969 Supercopa de Campeones Intercontinentales (also known as the 1969 Recopa Sudamericana) was contested between November 13 and December 30, 1969 between Peñarol, Santos, Racing, and Estudiantes, the four South American winners of the Intercontinental Cup to date. The competition was won by Peñarol.[2]
